Headwear UK is part of the Headwear Group of Companies. The Headwear Group of Companies has been in the headwear manufacturing industry since 1974, and now boasts a distribution network servicing all continents of the world. They are experts in design, manufacture and supply of a wide range of Caps & Hats worldwide. We are looking for a Southern Sales Manager to join our team.

Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook


Excellent telephone manner


Organisational skills


Reliable and flexible


Excellent time keeping


Ability to work as part of a team


Hold a UK drivers license


Enjoys the thrill of chasing the sale


Thick skin with a can-do attitude


 


Duties of this role include


Working closely with the Managing Director to execute the Southern Sales Strategy. This includes:



  • Taking responsibility for and growing your own roster of clients which will be allocated to you. Also opening new accounts where appropriate.

  • Quoting clients for potential offshore and domestic business. Responding to customer enquiries by email in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Making sales calls 4-days a week; 1-day office based in Witham, Essex.

  • Communicating and working with sales administrators in the Essex office when needed.

  • Attending client table tops/shows when needed

  • Selling Headwear’s spec sample programme to clients and managing this programme for your roster of clients. This includes idea generation as well as placing orders with the factory where necessary.

  • Responding to customer enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Calling customers to follow up on quotes that have previously been made and weekly calls to the clients on the spec samples list.

  • Attending tradeshows in tradeshow season.

  •  


Headwear will provide you with a company car as well as an expense account when you are travelling. It is essential the successful candidate has a passion for sales and enjoys going on the road to visit clients. The role is field based, so you do not need to live near the Essex sales office.
